Makati will play Game 2 in hostile territory. Handout photo
MANILA, Philippines – Makati-Super Crunch will be in hostile territory once more in Game 2 of the 2020 Chooks-to-Go MPBL Lakan north division finals series against San Juan Go-for-Gold.
Makati had to forfeit its home court privilege after the city government failed to give the green light for the Makati Coliseum.
Thus, the Super Crunch-backed squad will play Game 2 on enemy soil – the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
Makati lost Game 1 last Monday, 76-60, to the Knights in the same San Juan venue.
This is not a foreign situation for Makati. In the quarterfinals against Bulacan, they were supposed to play Game 2 on their own turf but the Guadalupe Viejo Gym was deemed unsafe by the league's technical committee.
Still, Makati defied the odds and booted out the Kuyas, 86-78.
They look to replicate that feat on Wednesday, when they play San Juan at 9 p.m.
