San Miguel used a strong start to overwhelm NLEX, 121-111, on Friday in the PBA Philippine Cup at the Araneta Coliseum.

June Mar Fajardo scored 27 points on 10-of-13 field goal shooting to go with his 13 rebounds while helping the Beermen dominate the Road Warriors.

San Miguel opened the game with a massive 28-4 lead in the first quarter before upping its advantage to 31.

On JR Quinahan’s lead, NLEX made a huge run of its own in the third quarter to cut the deficit down to just 17 points. But their efforts proved futile as the Beermen went on to take their fifth win in 8 games, good enough for solo third in the team standings.
