MANILA, Philippines – University of Santo Tomas (UST) won a fourth straight boys' crown, while University of the East (UE) kept the girls' title for a third season when the UAAP Season 82 high school judo competition concluded at the Mall of Asia Arena on Sunday.

The Junior Golden Judokas won two golds in the final day, courtesy of half-heavyweight Joshua Quizon and heavyweight Rael Abujos. They finished with 24 points.

De La Salle-Zobel led after the opening day but settled for second place with a total of 21 points. Far Eastern University FEU)-Diliman completed the podium, finishing with 18 points thanks in part to Knoxville Lining's half-middleweight gold.

Yvan Ayalin won the middleweight gold, but his efforts were not enough for Ateneo de Manila High School to achieve a top three finish. Instead, the blue-and-white settled for fourth with 16 points.

UE finished with 37 points, 11 ahead of UST which settled for runner-up honors.

Cathlyn Vergara was the Junior Tigresses' biggest hope after she broke through the final, but Pidlaoan stopped her in the gold medal match and had to take the silver.

Zoey Itliong's lightweight gold propelled De La Salle-Zobel to third place with 17 points.
