MANILA, Philippines – San Sebastian College's Grethcel Soltones and Alyssa Eroa turned back San Beda College's Ma. Nieza and Ma. Jeziela Viray in three sets to complete a four-peat in the NCAA Season 92 women's beach volleyball tournament on Sunday at the Subic Bay Sands.

The San Sebastian pair overcame an opening-set loss for a 16-21, 21-15, 15-11 result over the Lady Red Spikers.

It capped another impressive championship run for Soltones and Eroa, who won all 10 of their matches in the tournament to give their school a fourth straight title, and their seventh overall women's championship in the event.

Making the victory more special is that Eroa and Soltones were coming off a bitter loss in the indoor volleyball competition, where the Lady Stags blew a thrice-to-beat edge in the Finals to eventual champions Arellano.

"Goodbye and thank you, coach, for helping us get here," said Soltones to her longtime coach, Roger Gorayeb.

It did not help San Beda's cause that Ma. Nieza tweaked her ankle in the first set. She opted to play on despite needing her foot wrapped, and Soltones and Eroa pounced on her injury to snatch the win.

In the juniors' division, Emilio Aguinaldo College turned back Letran, 24-22, 21-15, to reclaim the championship that it last won two years ago.
