MANILA, Philippines – University of Perpetual Help's Relan and Rey Taneo, Jr. outlasted the Lyceum of the Philippines University tandem of Jhonel Badua and Joeward Presnede, 21-16, 20-22, 17-15, to claim the NCAA Season 92 men's beach volleyball championship on Sunday at the Subic Bay Sands.

The Taneos, who swept the elimination round in nine games to go into the finals with a twice-to-beat advantage, bounced back from a stinging 21-15, 16-21, 13-15 loss in Game 1 and ruled the deciding game to give the Altas the crown.

The title also somewhat eased the pain of their indoor team's loss to De La Salle-College of St. Benilde earlier this month.

Badua and Presnede advanced to the Finals after turning back Emilio Aguinaldo College's Joshua Mina and Paolo Cezar Lim, 21-15, 21-15, in the stepladder semifinals.
