Manila Stars Frontrow and Makati City Super Crunch took care of business Saturday night to set up a semifinal clash in the MPBL Lakan Cup.

Led by Carli Lastimosa, Manila defeated Pasig Sta. Lucia Realtors 82-80, while Makati coasted to an 86-78 win over Bulacan Kuyas at Malolos Sports and Convention Center.

Like in Game 1, Stars had to weather Realtors' uprising late in the game to sweep the race-to-2 showdown.

Lastimosa had 21 points, but he also received able backing from Chris Bitoon (19 points) and Aristotle Dionisio (14).

Mark Dyke, who was instrumental in the Stars' late surge, finished with 13 points.

Manila had a double-digit lead but former PBA player Jeric Teng and Robbie Manalang rallied Pasig to within 71-70 in the fourth.

But Lastimosa and Dyke put out the fire with crucial baskets for the win.

Teng had 25 points to lead Pasig.

In the other game, Cedric Ablaza partnered with Joshua Torralba to steer Crunch past Kuyas.

Ablaza and Torralba each scored 22 points for Makati, while Stephen Siruma top-scored for Bulacan with 16 points.
