MANILA, Philippines – CHADAO-Far Eastern University (FEU) never trailed in a massive 84-62 victory over SMDC-National University (NU) in the 2019 PBA D-League on Monday afternoon at the Paco Arena in Manila.

Alec Stockton triggered the rout, firing seven of his 15 points in the first quarter as the Tamaraws raced to a 21-8 start.

FEU was barely threatened, as they cruised to their first victory in the Foundation Group.

Three other players scored in double-digits for the Tamaraws, with sophomore guard L-Jay Gonzales contributing 12 points, 3 boards, and 3 assists as he slowly eases into a bigger role with the team.

Coach Olsen Racela was also satisfied with how his big men responded to the challenge.

"Of course, it's a good start for us but more than anything, kinukuha namin dito is the exposure for our players, especially the bigs. They rose to the challenge today," he said.

Ken Tuffin and Branrey Bienes combined for 22 points and six rebounds, as Cameroonian slotman Patrick Tchuente impressed with his nine points, four rebounds, and a block.

It was all Tamaraws in this game as they limited the Bulldogs to just 27-percent clip from the field and even took a lead as high as 28, 53-28, midway through the third quarter.

Dave Ildefonso carried SMDC-NU in the losing cause with 14 points, five rebounds, and five assists.
