The Philippines has already forwarded to the ASEAN Para Sports Federation its recommendation to postpone the 10th ASEAN Para Games amid the COVID-19 alert.

Michael Barredo, Philippine Paralympic Committee head, sent to ASEAN Para Sports Federation president Major General Osoth Bhavilai a copy of the decision by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) board.

"In the interest of public health and security, we write to respectfully inform you of the board decision to strongly recommend the indefinite postponement of the 2020 ASEAN Para Games, given the risks present by the (COVID-19) health crisis," Barredo's correspondence read.

Besides the ASEAN Para Games, PSC chairman William Ramirez also announced the rescheduling of the National Sports Summit 2020, the Philippine National Games, Batang Pinoy, and Children’s Games due to coronavirus concerns.
