MANILA, Philippines – University of Perpetual Help's powerful spiker, Joebert Almodiel, has once again been named the Most Valuable Player of the NCAA.

Almodiel earned the top individual honor in the Season 94 men's volleyball tournament after leading the Altas to a nine-game sweep of the elimination round.

He was also at the forefront of Perpetual Help's hard-earned 23-25, 25-19, 23-25, 25-23, 15-12 victory in Game 1 of the best-of-3 finals against De La Salle-College of St. Benilde (CSB), which put them on the brink of a second straight title.

This is Almodiel's second straight MVP trophy, having also won the award last year along with Rookie of the Year honors.
