Exhibition games are normally put together for the sake of fans.

And judging by the smiles on the faces of those who attended the Premier Volleyball League all-star game in San Juan on Saturday, the annual event gathering the sport's biggest names accomplished what it was supposed to do — bring the game closer to its devotees.

Led by Jema Galanza, Team Red routed crowd favorite Alyssa Valdez and her Team Blue, but no one — the players nor the crowd — seemed to mind the lopsided score.

Everyone just wanted to have fun and soak in a rare chill atmosphere for athletes, coaches and their supporters.
