Duncan hits 20,000 point milestone in Spurs loss

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Tim Duncan reached the 20,000 career point plateau with a 25-point performance but it wasn't enough as San Antonio lost 116-109 to Houston.

Duncan finished with 25 points and 14 rebounds for the Spurs who have lost four of their past five games.

Kyle Lowry and Aaron Brooks scored 23 points apiece for the Rockets at the AT and T Center arena. Lowry added nine assists and six rebounds and Brooks finished with seven assists.

Shane Battier had 14 points and Trevor Ariza and Luis Scola contributed 13 points each for the Rockets, who won for the third time in their past four games.

Tony Parker had 22 points and 10 assists, while Manu Ginobili and George Hill added 15 points apiece for San Antonio.
