Japeth Aguilar was a force on offense and defense in the 2019 PBA Governors' Cup finals, and his strong play on both ends of the court keyed Barangay Ginebra's title win over Meralco on Friday.

It also helped him get finals most valuable player, as Ginebra clinched the crown in five games at Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Aguilar scored 25 points, pulled down 8 rebounds and blocked 4 shots in the deciding game, a 105-93 win.

Overall, the 32-year-old Sasmuan town, Pampanga, native averaged 17.4 points on 56.5% field-goal shooting in the title series, to go with 7 rebounds and 3.4 blocks.
