MANILA, Philippines – Arellano University goes for the jugular as it takes on De La Salle-College of St. Benilde (CSB) in Game 2 of the NCAA Season 93 men's football finals on Monday at the Rizal Memorial pitch.

The Chiefs took Game 1 of the best-of-three series, 3-2, last Friday.

Former national team member Jumbel Guinabang delivered a brace, including the spectacular goal in extra time that powered the Chiefs to victory over the Blazers, sending the Chiefs one win away from the title.

If necessary, a deciding Game 3 will be held on Wednesday.

The 20-year-old Guinabang, who was a part of the national under-19 team that competed in the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Championship in Vietnam two years ago, will be a marked man when Game 2 kicks off at 6 p.m.

Guinabang opened the scoring in just the third minute of Game 1, before CSB's Daniel Lozio and Renz Tulayba alternated goals with Arellano's Charles Gamutan to send the match into the break tied at 2-2.

But Guinabang had the last laugh, powering the decisive goal three minutes into injury time.

That sent the Chiefs into frantic celebration at centerfield, as they knew they were on the verge of a second NCAA crown. However, Arellano coach Ravela Saluria stressed that they need the same kind of effort to pull off another victory over CSB.

"We hope to show the same kind of intensity in the next game, maybe more, for us to get this title," said Saluria in Filipino.

In the juniors' division, San Beda will shoot for the clincher as it faces off with La Salle Greenhills at 4 p.m.

The Junior Red Booters took the series opener, 2-1.
