MANILA, Philippines – Color Manila, the chief organizer of "concept fun runs" in the country, is gearing up for its biggest and most colorful event to date on January 8 at the Mall of Asia Grounds.

Organizers, headed by Jay Em and Justine Cordero, are expecting some 12,000 runners to join the event.

"The annual Color Manila Run has always been designed to help the participants jump-start their fitness goals for the year," said Jay Em in a statement.

"We are lucky to have had participants who have been with us and have supported us from the inception. Now on our fifth year, we intend to encourage more runners and non-runners alike to join our various events held in different cities," he added.

Meanwhile, the race kit for 21k runners will have a singlet, sunglasses, drawstring bag, pillow, race bib, timing chip, the finisher's medal, finisher's shirt, GU Energy Gel and the color packet.

Participants can also expect celebrities to join the event. Some celebrities and athletes who have participated in previous seasons include: Karylle, Kim Atienza, Yassi Pressman, Dominique Roque, Yael Yuzon, and several beauty queens.

Participants can also choose from 3K, 5K, 10K and 21K. Registration is still ongoing at www.colormanilarun.com.
