The trough of Typhoon Yagi (formerly Enteng) as well as the enhanced southwest monsoon are set to bring rains in parts of Luzon Thursday morning, weather bureau PAGASA said.

As of 5 a.m.., the weather bureau has also issued an orange heavy rainfall warning in Zambales and Bataan, indicating 15 millimeters-30 mm of rain for the next three hours.

A yellow rainfall warning is also hoisted over Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Metro Manila, Rizal and Cavite, indicating 7.5 mm-15 mm of rain during the same period.

Meanwhile, light to moderate with occasional heavy rains will affect Nueva Ecija, Quezon and Laguna which may persist within 3 hours.

As of 3 a.m., the center of Typhoon Yagi was located 480 km west northwest of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte. Packing 175 kph winds and gusts of up to 215 kph, the typhoon is moving westward at 25 kph.

The Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Norte, and Ilocos Sur will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms including possible flash floods or landslides due to the trough of the typhoon.

Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro will experience monsoon rains while Metro Manila, La Union, Cavite, Batangas, Rizal, Laguna, Oriental Mindoro, Northern Palawan, and the rest of Central Luzon will experience occasional rains due to the habagat.
