The new acting director of the police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) said on Friday that he will continue to deepen the investigation into the allegations against the Kingdom of Jesus Christ and its leader, Apollo Quiboloy.

Police Brigadier General Nicolas Torre III said they have been conducting a case buildup on the human trafficking allegations against Quiboloy and KOJC's alleged “Angels of Death”.

The CIDG is also preparing charges of sedition and obstruction of justice against KOJC members and other personalities involved in allegedly coddling Quiboloy, as well as those who closed the national highway in Buhangin district.

Torre said pieces of evidence to be used in court, including 2 fire trucks, 2 cranes, and several cars, were confiscated after allegedly being used to block the highway during the protest.

“Maghintay na lang sila ng summon or notice galing sa korte para sila ay makapagbigay at sumite ng counter-affidavit sa aming complaint affidavit,” he said.

Even though he's being transferred to CIDG, Torre said he will continue to be involved in the KOJC probe and vowed to focus on the issue.

Torre said he was also assigned to CIDG sometime in 2020, where he was involved in the contact tracing investigation.

NO REWARD YET?

Meanwhile, the leader of the KOJC operation said he has no idea yet whether the reward money has been given to specific individuals.

He added that he is unaware of who will receive the bounty.

Anyway, may task force naman kasi eh,” he said.

Before the police operations, the PNP said it was giving P14 million reward for information that will lead to the arrest of Quiboloy and his co-accused.
