Some 400 families were asked to evacuate their homes in Bantayan Island amid heavy rains and severe flood Thursday.

According to some residents, they experienced non-stop rains the night before until the following day.

All three towns in Bantayan Island were inundated but the most affected are the barangays of Kampingganon, Guiwanon and Kabangbang.

They are now working on a flood control budget to mitigate the effects of strong rains.
