Passenger plane overshoots runway in Busuanga Airport

MANILA -- An 86-seater passenger plane overshot the runway while landing in an airport in Coron, Palawan on Sunday afternoon.

Philippine Airlines flight PR2680 left the Mactan Airport 1:44 p.m. and landed at the Busuanga Airport at 2:51 p.m., said Cielo Villaluna, PAL spokesperson.

The De Havilland Dash 8-400 NG, which carried 57 passengers, overshot the runway. 

"As of 3:40 pm, all 53 passengers and 4 flight crew members have been deplaned safely, with no injuries reported," said Villaluna.

The aircraft has been moved out of the runway around 2:30 a.m. Monday, PAL said.
