Fire razed a residential area in Sitio Kalubihan, Barangay Sambag Dos, Cebu City, on April 8, 2024, destroying over 82 houses and affecting over a hundred families.

The fire, which broke out around 4 pm, reached the 4th alarm and was declared extinguished at 10 p.m.

The fire spread due to changing wind directions, compounded by low water pressure caused by El Nino, which made it difficult for firefighters to refill tanks and return to the scene.
