Speaking to reporters, Marcos said they want to be prepared to any negotiation or anything that may happen when they meet with the world's biggest business leaders.

The Philippines, under Marcos Jr., has reaffirmed its bilateral relations with China by pushing for cooperation on several fronts including business, tourism, maritime security, among others.

These are investments from new and existing Chinese-owned businesses in the Philippines, Marcos said in a press conference in China.

"We hope that these negotiations will bear fruit because the pressure upon not only China, not only the Philippines but the rest of the world to move away from the traditional fronts of power."
