KUWAIT - Good news to all Filipinos looking for a good job opportunity abroad. Kuwait’s flag carrier, Kuwait Airways, will be hiring 459 Filipino workers as part of its expansion plan.

“We are looking for highly skilled people, highly committed and hardworking people,” said Athbi Salah al-Sheeha, talent acquisition manager of Kuwait Airways.

With the opening of the Kuwait Airways Terminal 4 recently, more ground personnel is needed. Currently, there are over 400 Filipino workers employed by Kuwait Airways.
“Maganda ang trabaho rito. Bukod sa 27 years na ako rito sa Kuwait at sa blessings na binigyan kami ng opportunity na makapagtrabaho rito, 'yung aking anak naipasok ko rin dito, flying crew,” said head waiter Greg Alcantara.
(Work here is good. Aside from the 27 years of working here in Kuwait and the blessings given to us for the opportunity to work here, I was able to bring my child to work for the same company as flying crew.)

Kuwait Airways will hire traffic officer, assistant traffic officer, assistant load control, assistant cargo officer, cargo operator, cargo coordinator and baggage sorter.
Food allowance and accommodation are included in the salary. Workers will also have free transportation and free ticket upon completion of the two-year-contract.

This is the biggest job order for skilled workers since the deployment ban in Kuwait was lifted in May. This only shows the improving bilateral relations between the two countries.
