9-year-old Filipina is New Zealand's representative to 2019 WCOPA

MANILA - A nine-year-old girl of Filipino descent is the official representative of New Zealand in the World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) next year.

Born of Filipino parents, Jazz Dacanay Vidamo comes from a family of singers and musicians.

She started singing at the age of 2 years old, and started competing and performing at the age of 5.

Dubbed "opera princess," Vidamo was a finalist in Opera Idol 2018. She is also part of "Disney's The Little Mermaid Junior" as Arista.

Aside from singing, Vidamo is also into modelling.

Vidamo will be representing New Zealand in the WCOPA 2019 which will be held in July in California.
