All certificates of canvas have been transmitted to the Commission on Elections (Comelec) in the Philippines, the Philippine embassy in the US said early Wednesday morning.

In a statement, the embassy said the cause of the delay in transmission was four malfunctioning SD cards coming from San Francisco and Los Angeles.

The embassy added that out of the 228,470 registered voters in the US, only 39,511 actually voted, making a 17.29% voter turnout for the 2019 midterm elections.

This exceeded the voter turnout in the midterm elections in 2013 that reached 10.55%
