MANILA — Dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo on Monday refused to publicly disclose details of the alleged death threats she had received that supposedly pushed her to fled the country in July.

"Gusto ko po i-discuss sa inyo, pero natatakot ako i-diclose sa public... Pasensya na po," Guo told the Senate hearing of the Committee on Women.

However, Guo revealed that she supposedly started receiving the death threats in June.

"I think mga bandang June po... More than 5 times, through phone," she told senators.

Despite aggressive convincing from senators, Guo refused to divulge who was the source of the alleged threats. Instead, Guo sought an executive session to discuss security matter.

After her arrest in Indonesia last week, Guo told Philippine authorities that she had "death threats" that forced her to escape the Philippines. However, the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) doubted Guo's claim.
