MANILA – The House Quad Committee on Thursday night issued a show-cause order against the wife of former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque for failing to appear in the ongoing investigation on Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO).

Quad Comm Co-Chairperson Rep. Joseph Stephen Paduano said Mylah Roque has been invited in the previous hearings.

Lawmakers earlier said she was also listed as an incorporator of a firm that worked closely with Lucky South 99, an illegal gambling hub in Pampanga.

“The documents being requested or ordered to Mister Harry Roque with regards the medical certificate of Miss Mylah Roque which has yet to be submitted – I so move we issue a show-cause order for Miss Mylah Roque,” said Paduano.

Rep. Johnny Pimentel earlier told ANC they subpoenaed other documents from her on the matter but she failed to appear during the committee hearings.

A Chinese fugitive, allegedly a “finance guy” involved with illegal POGOs, was arrested inside Roque’s house in Benguet.

“It is also important… because the lease contract between the Chinese national Wan Yun in the rental of the House in Tuba, Benguet is signed by Mrs. Mylah Roque,” Pimentel said last Sept. 16.
