MANILA -- A low pressure area being closely monitored by PAGASA has already turned into tropical depression as of late Sunday, September 15.

The weather disturbance spotted 2,165 km East of Southeastern Luzon at 10 p.m. Sunday is nearing the Philippine area of responsibility.

It has maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour near the center, gustiness of up to 55 km/h. The tropical depression may intensify into a tropical storm by Monday afternoon or evening.

PAGASA said the tropical depression is expected to enter PAR on Tuesday evening and may exit Wednesday morning.
