MANILA — Philippine National Police chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil inspected the officers tasked to barricade protesters during President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s third State of the Nation Address along Commonwealth Avenue on Monday.

The PNP chief was accompanied by Metro Manila police chief MGen. Jose Melencio Nartatez and Quezon City police chief Gen. Redrico Maranan.

“We follow maximum tolerance, pero may limit. Yun ang guidance ko. Never again na sasaktan ang pulis nang basta-basta. So clear sa atin yan lahat?” said Marbil.

“Di namin kayo iiwanan, kung may mangyari sa inyo, we bring you to the best hospital, we bring you to the best doctor. Nasa guidance ko sa lahat ng Philippine National Police natin,” he added.

He also inspected the mobile command post in the area.

Marbil and other PNP officials then proceeded to a station of the Batasan police to further monitor the peace and order situation.
