MANILA — Former President Rodrigo Duterte made fun of former Sen. Leila de Lima's plan to go after the individuals behind the "fabricated" drug cases against her following her acquittal from all the charges.

On June 24, a Muntinlupa court granted De Lima's demurrer to evidence in her last and third drug case, concluding her legal battle that she insisted was triggered by her criticism on Duterte's bloody drug war.

Last week, De Lima said she was determined to sue Duterte administration officials who she blamed for her 7-year long detention.

But Duterte said De Lima should just find her "peace" instead of initiating a fight with him.

"Find your peace where you are now. Wag kang kumalikot ng away kasi pagsisihan mo yan. Anong babawiin mo sa akin? Hindi naman ako nag-rock n roll," Duterte told reporters in Tacloban City on Sunday.

(Don't pick a fight because you will regret it. What are you seeking justice for?)

However, Duterte said he respects the court's ruling and even said it was a proof that democracy in the Philippines is working.

"Alam mo abogado ako, pag sinabi ng korte yan, yan na yan and we also say that it is correct... There's a verdict rendered by the court and we have to respect it; democracy is working well in our country," Duterte said.

(I'm a lawyer, if the court hands a ruling, we respect it.)

DUTERTE THREATENS ICC ANEW

Meanwhile, Duterte also reiterated that he does not "give a s***" about the International Criminal Court (ICC).

"Alam mo yang ICC, matagal na yan, mayor pa ko (The ICC has been going after me since I was the Davao City mayor). I don’t give a sh*t whether they come in. Para sa akin wala silang jurisdiction (For me they have no jurisdiction). We are not part of ICC. Umalis na tayo," Duterte said.

President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. has thumbed down De Lima's call for the government to "aid" ICC, but allowed her if she wants to cooperate with the international body.

Duterte said in case the ICC issues a warrant against him, he would like them to personally hand it to him.

"Hintayin ko. Ayoko yung Pilipino na pulis o NBI magpunta. Gusto ko yung ICC mismo magdadala, tapos pag ibigay niya sa akin, ipakain ko talaga sa kanya. Mamili ka kainin mo o barilin kita dito ngayon? I-deliver kita sa impyerno," he said.

(I will wait. I don't want our local law enforcers to hand the arrest warrant. I want it to be someone from ICC so that I can feed it to him. He has to eat it or I will shoot him. I will deliver him to hell.)

The ICC is investigating alleged human rights abuses during Duterte's bloody war on drugs, which rights groups said have killed thousands of alleged drug addicts.
