The Commission on Elections' processed voting applications have now surpassed 4 million, Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia reported Thursday night.

In updated data provided to journalists by Garcia, the commission reported a total of 4,057,001 applications processed.

In the table provided by Garcia, female voters still dominated the number of applicants with 2,093,011 as against the male electorate's 1,963,990. 

Overall, Region IV-A or CALABARZON had the highest number of processed applications at 696,555, followed by the National Capital Region with 561,714 and Region III or Central Luzon with 477,016.

Meantime, except for the Cordillera Autonomous Region, all the other regions recorded a six-digit volume of processed applications: 

  • • Region VII: 274,015
  • • Region XI: 238,846
  • • Region VI: 226,227
  • • Region X: 192,866
  • • Region V: 189,185
  • • Region XII: 176,862
  • • Region IX: 118,972
  • • Region I: 163,643
  • • BARMM: 168,325
  • • Region VIII: 274,015
  • • Region II: 120,946
  • • CARAGA: 102,866
  • • Region IV-B: 104,214
  • • CAR: 53,776

The Comelec's voter registration program in relation to the May 12, 2025 elections will run until September 30, 2024. 

Next year's midterm national and local elections involve a total of 18,271 positions. 

These include 12 posts for the Senate, 63 party-list representatives, 254 district congressional seats, and 11,948 Sangguniang Bayan members.
