San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora earlier announced that only three fire trucks would be allowed to join the annual 'basaan' to limit water consumption, in consideration of the current water situation in Metro Manila, barely a month after the weather bureau PAGASA declared the end of the El Niño season.

Despite this pronouncement, residents could be seen celebrating Wattah-Wattah in different areas of the city to honor the city's patron saint.
