Comelec says additional 200k voters' application processed

MANILA — The Commission on Elections recorded Tuesday nearly 200,000 additional processed voters' application, a week after breaching its 3 million target.

From May 20, 2024’s provided processed voter’s application of 3,020, 999, Comelec Chairman George Garcia disclosed the total number of applications processed at 3,210,523, as of May 28, 2024.

Female voter applicants continue to dominate the number with 1,654,842 as against the male voter applicants at 1,555,681.

Region IV-A or CALABARZON still leads the regions with the biggest number of voter applicants – 568,411.

This is followed by the National Capital Region, 463,364 and Region III or Central Luzon, with 372,090.

On the opposite end or those with the lowest number of voter application processed meantime, are Cordillera Autonomous Region (CAR) with 41,607 and Region IV-B (MIMAROPA) at 80,621.

Other regions with processed applications are the following:

•  Region IX   -- 127,019

•  BARMM      --  119,696


The Comelec main office likewise processed a total of 5,443 applications.  

Registration of voters started last February 12 and will end on September 30, 2024.

Deactivated voters can also process their reactivation during the given period.
