Locals attempt to secure their boats as Tropical Storm Aghon batters Janao Bay in Mabini, Batangas, early Sunday morning. Several boats have sunk due to the strong waves and winds brought by Aghon, which intensified into a tropical storm, according to PAGASA.

Aghon is currently moving northwestward at 10 km/h with sustained winds of 65 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 90 km/h based on PAGASA’s latest advisory.
