Heat index remains at dangerous levels in several areas of PH

MANILA -- The heat index in certain parts of the Philippines is expected to remain at dangerous levels over the next two days, according to the forecast from PAGASA.
These areas include parts of the National Capital Region (NCR), Region I, Region II, the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), and Region III.
In NAIA Pasay City, the heat index is projected to reach 42 degrees Celsius on Monday and a scorching 44 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, in Science Garden, Quezon City, the heat index is expected to peak at 43 degrees Celsius on Monday and slightly decrease to 42 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.

Tuguegarao City in Cagayan will remain at 45 degrees Celsius until Tuesday, while Aparri, Cagayan will experience of 46 degrees Celsius.
The situation is particularly concerning in Dagupan City, Pangasinan, where the heat index is forecasted to remain at 47 degrees Celsius on Monday.
On Sunday, the heat index in Iba, Zambales soared to 53 degrees Celsius, reaching an extreme level, but it will decrease to 43 degrees Celsius on Monday.
