An ambulance was caught by the Department of Transportation – Special Action Intelligence Committee for Transportation (DOTr – SAICT) on Friday entering the EDSA busway without any patient on board.

Sosimo Ebora, the driver of the Brgy. Tanyag, Taguig City ambulance, said he used the busway because he is about to fetch a dialysis patient.

“Wala nga akong dispatch may sundo naman ako. Wala namin kaming binibigyan na dispatch, basta ang advice lang sa amin, apelido na ganito tulad kaninang umaga, puntahan mo,” he said.

According to Ebora, he has been using the EDSA busway every day.

He also showed his driver’s license and ID to authorities, saying “titiketan nyo naman sir eh. Nakikiusap na nga ako sa inyo eh.”

“Buti kung sasapat yung sinasahod ko,” he added.

DOTr-SAICT enforcers ended up issuing a traffic violation ticket to the driver.
