MANILA — Construction of an elevated walkway connecting the Quezon Memorial Circle and Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center has started, the Quezon City government said Saturday.

On its Facebook page, the local government said portions of Elliptical Road from North Avenue to Quezon Avenue were closed from Maundy Thursday to early Easter Sunday to give way to the construction of the “elevated landscape promenade.”

It also posted photos of the construction and sketches of the planned path.

The QC partnered with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources for the project, which is meant to make it easier for visitors to cross from the memorial circle to the wildlife park and back.
