QUEZON CITY – Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Director General Moro Virgilio Lazo said on Thursday that Lin Wei Xiong of Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corp. and Allan Lim are the same individual.

During the House Quad Committee hearing on Thursday, Lazo told lawmakers their intel showed that Lin is a "drug personality".

"We were able to talk to a confidential informant. He’s a reliable informant. When he talked to us, he hasn’t even seen the presentation of Colonel Acierto before the Committee on Dangerous Drugs. When we took down what he was telling us, it confirms to some of the statements of Colonel Acierto," he said.

Former police colonel Eduardo Acierto named Allan Lim in his 2017 report. Lim is also known as business associate of former presidential adviser Michael Yang, who was also tagged by Acierto.

"Nako-confuse po tayo but we’re only talking of one and the same person, Allan Lim na cinonfirm ni Mrs. Rose Nono Lin na husband niya," Lazo explained.

"According to our informant, who is a very reliable informant, Allan Lim uses several names Allan Lim, Allan Lin, Jeffrey Lin, Jeff Lin, Ayong, Weixiong Lim, Lin Weixiong, Wen Li Chen. These names are all confirmed by the different statements being heard before the Quad Committee," he added.

The PDEA chief made the statement after businesswoman Rose Nono Lin was asked about the identity of her husband.

"My husband's name is Lin Wei Xiong," she said.

She earlier said her husband also uses the name Jeffrey, but not Allan.

Former PDEA chief Wilkins Villanueva told lawmakers that the Allan Lim being linked to illegal drugs is not the same person.

"Sa image identification Mister Chair, I confirm na hindi sila pareho… ako ang gumawa ng image na yan," he said, drawing the ire of lawmakers.

Earlier, Rose Nono Lin was shown the same photos mentioned by Villanueva in the hearing. She said the man with a moustache was not her husband, but confirmed that the man in the other photo is him.

Villanueva insisted that during his time in PDEA, Yang was cleared of his involvement in the illegal drug trade.

"Wala ngang immediate ebidensya na si Michael Yang ay sangkot sa droga. Ang information lang ni Colonel Acierto is yung information coming from the informant na hindi pa.. Ang tawag sa amin ay raw information that needs validation," he said.

"We inquired from the different intelligence services all over the country. And we backtracked sa records ng PDEA kung may involved na Michael Yang, wala namang lumalabas," Villanueva added.

Acierto earlier said he sent his report to then PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino and then PNP Chief Oscar Albayalde but claimed that nothing was done.

He cited Villanueva speaking during a press conference that Yang was not involved in illegal drugs and the pictures of Allan Lim are different.

"Pinoprotektahan nila si Michael Yang at saka si Allan Lim. Bakit nila pinoprotektahan? Kasi utos sa kanila ni Presidente Duterte at ni Bong Go… Yung kanilang war on drugs ay peke, cover up lang yun. Yung mga maliliit pinapatay nila pero yung malalaki tulad ni Allan Lim at Michael Yang pinoprotektahan nila," Acierto said.

Meantime, Santa Rosa Rep. Dan Fernandez showed Rose Nono Lin screenshots of profiles of a user names Rose Lin. In one of the conversations, the user was asking a certain Alvin about hiding properties in Porac, Pampanga.

Lin denied she owns the profiles and asked the help of the mega-panel to determine if the profiles are fake and to track down those behind it.

1-Rider Party-list Rep. Ramon Rodrigo "Rodge" Gutierrez asked Lin about Xionwei Technology Co. Ltd, which is a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator.

The congressman also inquired about Brickhartz Technology, which is allegedly connected to Xionwei, both of which are reportedly tired to Baofu Compound in Bamban, Tarlac.
