MANILA (UPDATE) - Typhoon Marce continues to weaken further as it accelerates westward over the West Philippine Sea, weather bureau PAGASA said Friday.

Wind signal no. 4 has been lifted but signal no. 3 is still up over Ilocos Norte, northwestern Cagayan and Apayao, and the northern portions of Abra and Ilocos Sur.

At 7 a.m. Friday, Marce was located 100 km west northwest of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte. It has maximum winds of 150 kph and gustiness up to 205 kph and is moving westward at 15 kph.

It will be out of the PAR this afternoon or evening.

Meanwhile, a cloud cluster east of the country has formed into a Low Pressure Area at 2 a.m. Friday.

It may enter the Philippine area of responsibility Friday evening or Saturday morning.

It has low chance of developing into a tropical depression in the next 24 hours.
