MARIKINA CITY

In Marikina City, authorities continue to monitor the Marikina River as the light to moderate rain continues.

As of 5:30 p.m. Thursday, the water level at the river reached more than 14-meters.

Dave David, chief of the Marikina Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office, explained that residents can be evacuated if the water level rises.

David said only 5 families are now at the H. Bautista Elementary School in Concepcion Uno and most of its evacuation centers are still empty.

Meanwhile, due to the effects of typhoon, 124 bus trips were cancelled at the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) in Parañaque City on Thursday.

PITX said most of the trips are bound for Bicol Region.
