MANILA -- Vice President Sara Duterte answered in the affirmative when she was asked about a TikTok video circulating online, where she was seen dancing.

Duterte said she did it for a colleague who has ventured into content creation.

"Totoo iyon, hindi AI iyong TikTok video. Ako iyon. Tatlong videos iyan. Sabi ng kasama ko, sabi niya, 'Content creator na ako... Pwede mo bang tulungan iyong account ko?' she shared to reporters.

"'Di ko alam kung paano kumita... Sabi niya, 'I-promote mo iyong account ko.' Then sinabihan ko siya, 'Anong kailangan kong gawin... Sure, maliit na bagay,'" she added.

The Vice President also explained her recent trip to Baclaran in Parañaque, where she was seen eating street food and visiting the National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, popularly known as Baclaran Church.

"Eh kung sa Davao, iyon 'di ako papansinin... Sa Davao ginagawa ko iyon. 'Di na ako pinapansin ng mga Dabawenyo kasi normal sa kanila iyon," Duterte said.

"Bakit ako umabot sa Baclaran? Kasi 'di ba nag-trick or treat ako e kailangan ko ng butterfly na gagawing korona. The next day na iyong trick or treat, wala pa akong korona. So sabi ko maghanap tayo sa sidewalk ng mga butterfly. Umabot kami sa Baclaran," she added.

'DIVERSIONARY TACTICS'

House lawmakers have repeatedly slammed Duterte for supposedly "diverting" issues instead of directly answering accusations.

But for Duterte, this goes the same for her critics.

"Well, it's a tie. Kasi ang ginagawa nila is a diversion from the nothingness that is this country is undergoing. Ginagawa nila is a diversion sa kagutuman, sa kahirapan, sa taas ng presyo at sa kawalan ng mga Pilipino. Ginagawa niyo akong diversion? E 'di gagawin ko rin kung anong ginagawa niyo... Bakit sila nagsasabi na hindi ako sumasagot?" she said, answering queries from the media.

Duterte explained that the Office of the Vice President has been prudent in responding to issues "in the proper forum".

"Lahat ng pinadala nila na AOM - Audit Observation Memorandum - sa kanila naman galing iyon, hindi naman sa COA (Commission on Audit) iyon. Wala namang independent sa COA ngayon. Sinasagot namin. In the proper forum, we answer. May cases na sila sa Supreme Court, sinasagot namin," she said.

"Ayaw ko lang sumagot diyan sa ginagawa nilang circus. Hindi naman ako ang nagmumukhang tanga dyan. Sila, kasi hindi nila ginagawa trabaho nila," she added.
