MANILA — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) said Sunday it is releasing to the public the Certificate of Candidacy (COC) and Certificate of Nomination and Acceptance (CONA) of those running for office in the 2025 elections.

According to the Commission, they decided to release the documents in their website for the public to scrutinize the candidates.

This will be the first time in the country's history that the poll body would release the COCs and CONAs of applicants.

Garcia added that with this move, the public may be able to help the Comelec discover possible grounds for disqualification in the applicants.

The poll body chief also encouraged the public to learn more about the candidates so that they would be sure who they are voting for.
