MANILA - President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday said he has asked interior and local secretary Eduardo Año to "handle" and "fix" the Philippine National Police, which is under his agency's jurisdiction.

The President had appointed Lt. Gen. Archie Gamboa as officer-in-charge of the PNP after Oscar Albayalde stepped down in October, following allegations he protected his men who were accused of selling seized illegal drugs.
