MANILA - Typhoon Nina left the Philippine landmass on Monday after ravaging the Bicol Region and Southern Luzon.

In its 5 p.m. weather bulletin, state weather bureau PAGASA said the eye of the typhoon was last spotted 75 kilometers southwest of Olongapo City in Zambales province.

It is packing maximum sustained winds of 120 kilometers per hour (kph) with 180 kph gusts. It made landfall eight times in the Philippines, triggering floods, landslides and power outages.

Nina is expected to move west-northwest at a speed of 20 kph and is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Wednesday morning.
