MANILA - The parents of the Ateneo junior high student who was bullied by his schoolmate have filed a blotter report regarding the incident, police said Friday.

Supt. Cipriano Galanidad, station commander of Quezon City Anonas Police Station, said the parents accompanied the child as he gave a statement on Thursday evening.

The police did not give details because of the sensitivity of the case and in respect of the minor's privacy.

The Ateneo de Manila University has said an investigation is ongoing and that it "will not hesitate to impose the penalty of dismissal or even expulsion in cases of grave misconduct."

Several lawmakers has also urged netizens to stop picking on the perpetrator who was caught on camera kicking, punching and bullying schoolmates.
