MANILA -- President Rodrigo Duterte has approved 2 months worth of cash grants to the CAFGU or military auxiliary forces, according to a document released by Malacanang on Monday.

Civilian Armed Force Geographical Unit forces in the military's roster will get P7,000 per month for November and December, under Executive Order No. 69 which was signed on Dec. 4.

Duterte also directed the Department of Budget and Management to propose measures and identify funding sources for monthly financial aid for the CAFGU in succeeding years.

Those who are in the roster but are undergoing training will recieve a pro-rated portion of the aid, according to the EO.

Duterte issued the EO as the government intensified its drive against terrorism and the communist insurgency.
