Former Bayan Muna Rep. Satur Ocampo and around 70 others will face charges for alleged abduction, child abuse and trafficking. Ocampo’s group was arrested in Talaingod, Davao del Norte on Thursday with 14 minors who they said they rescued during a humanitarian mission. Their supporters say the arrest was illegal and a form of harassment. The arrest comes as the government and communist rebels struggle to jump start peace talks between the two sides.
