MANILA- Students should be allowed to watch the 30th Southeast Asian Games for free, Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo said Thursday.

Panelo made the suggestion after former Philippine Olympic Committee chair Monico Puentevella appealed to President Rodrigo Duterte and the organizers to let the public watch the Games for free.

"They should allow students na libre or kung di kaya na libre, 50 percent na discount," Panelo told reporters.

(Students should be allowed to watch for free or if that's too much, they should be given a 50 percent discount.)
