MANILA - Typhoon Tomas is expected to reenter the Philippine area of responsibility Sunday afternoon or evening but is not seen affecting weather in the country, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

Tomas was last spotted more than 1,500 kilometers east of Cagayan with maximum sustained winds of 145 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 180 km/h.
