President Rodrigo Duterte has arrived in Busan, South Korea early Monday morning for his attendance to the ASEAN-Republic of Korea Commemorative Summit.

The Palace reported that the President’s plane touched down at the Gimjae International Airport in Busan at 1:28 a.m. The President was welcomed upon arrival by Korean Ambassador to the Philippines Han Dong-Man, and Philippine Ambassador to South Korea Noe Wong.

Duterte is set to meet with South Korean President Moon Jae-in Monday afternoon to discuss a wide spectrum of issues including education, free trade and fisheries.

He will join President Moon and other ASEAN leaders in at least two plenary sessions on November 26, which will focus on connectivity and on charting the course of relations between ASEAN and South Korea.
