MANILA - The local government of Makilala town, North Cotabato on Thursday sought help for residents affected by series of earthquakes and aftershocks that hit Mindanao this week.

In a Facebook post, local officials said they need trucks to transport affected families to evacuation centers, adding they need tents, food, water, medicine, safety kits, utensils, and clothing for the residents.

Makilala officials said residents were in a "state of panic" due to the tremors and continuous aftershocks.

For those who are willing to help, you can contact disaster official Sonny Fontanilla at 0929-759-8274.

Three powerful earthquakes have struck Mindanao this month, starting from the Oct. 16 tremor in Tulunan town, Cotabato.
