MANILA - The local government of Makilala town, North Cotabato on Thursday sought help for residents affected by series of earthquakes and aftershocks that hit Mindanao this week.
In a Facebook post, local officials said they need trucks to transport affected families to evacuation centers, adding they need tents, food, water, medicine, safety kits, utensils, and clothing for the residents.
Makilala officials said residents were in a "state of panic" due to the tremors and continuous aftershocks.

Three powerful earthquakes have struck Mindanao this month, starting from the Oct. 16 tremor in Tulunan town, Cotabato.
Over 10 people were killed and over 70 were injured due to the tremors.
