MANILA - The Philippine National Police will go on full alert as Filipinos are expected to flock to the cemeteries to visit their departed loved ones for Undas.

PNP chief Director General Oscar Albayalde said a total of 30,000 police officers will secure cemeteries and other public places like ports and bus terminals.

Albayalde said the PNP has not monitored any security threat for All Saints' and All Souls' Day so far, but he will be inspecting the police's security deployments in the coming days.

The state weather bureau earlier warned Filipinos planning to visit their departed loved ones to monitor weather updates as Typhoon Rosita is expected to bring rains in northern Luzon.
